Tried to use update manager this morning and got this;
E:Could not open file/var/lib/apt/lists/
fr.archive.trisquel.info_trisquel_dists_belenos-updates_main_binary-i386_Pakages-open(2:No such file or directory), E:Could not open file/var/lib/apt/list/fr.archive.trisquel.info_trisquel_dists_belenos-security_main_binary-i386_Packages - open (2: No such file or directory), E:Could not open file/var/lib/apt/lists/fr.archive.trisquel.info_trisquel_dists_belenos_main_i18_Translation-en%5fGB - open (2: No such file or directory), E:Could not open file/var/lib/apt/lists/fr.archive.trisquel.info_trisquel_dists_belenos_maini18n_Translation-en - open (2: No such file or directory),E:Could not open file/var/lib/apt/lists/fr.archive.trisquel.info_trisquel_dists_belenos_main_binary-i386_Packages - open (2: No such file or directory)
It had worked okay before, and when I clicked on (Try Again) it worked fine. The computer I was using was a Toshiba NB100.
I have attached screen shot of what I got on screen, as I might not have typed it properly. If you need any more information please contact me (as I have never done this before).

It might be a transient issue. Let us know if it happens again.
AIUI the French repo is now merely a different name for the Spanish one. It could be your system has glitched over the transition. If the problem happens again issue the following commands
sudo sed 's/fr\.arch/es.arch/g' -i /etc/apt/sources.list
sudo aptitude update
sudo aptitude dist-upgrade
