Its from the same guy that started the Consort desktop for SolusOS way back in the day. He ended up giving up on both projects and is now doing EvolveOS (https://evolve-os.com) and using Budgie as the desktop environment.
I may try out a netinstall of Trisquel 7 in VirtualBox and install this from scratch and see how it turns out!
