Hello,
I am new to linux and i was getting trisquel to work, but somehow after installing some updates i wasnt able to login anymore. The clock was still working but i coudnt use my keyboard or mouse. I installed it for testing only in /.
I might believe it is connected with the nouveau driver. I am having 2 nvidia geforce gtx 260m and i needed to restart my computer 2 times, because the screen was in a really strange white colours (looked like everything was in the colour scale on the opposite side). Would be a shame i am forced to use debian cause of the graphic cards or driver. Enable the integrated intel card doesnt worked either. Also I have somekind of a keyboard issue. After cleaning up my Laptop inside i have got destroyed the connection to the mousepad and after that my keyboard was only properly working when i restarted or put my computer to sleep.

For nVidia devices you're often better moving to a newer kernel - personally I use jxself's linux-libre which is designed for Trisquel here:

http://jxself.org/linux-libre/

Then for your keyboard problems try the solution here:

https://trisquel.info/en/forum/keyboard-lag-trisquel-7

But it does rather sound like you've disturbed the ribbon cable for a laptop keyboard & touchpad. For which you need to search Youtube for disassembly instructions for your specific model - they should mention any special measures for reassembly.

thank you!
i will try with my 4th trisquel install...
i had the belenos lts eol upgrade kernel installed.

the keyboard issue is not connected to trisquel.
but i'm forced, for not having lags, to go to suspend and wake it up.
then my keyboard works, but the screen looks weird ( at my external hdmi display not). after restarting everything worked fine (for some reason i dont know -maybe keyboard issue- i have to plug my mouse out and in again), until the ubuntu nouveau driver install.

Lembas wrote a good page on workarounds for issues with Suspend/Resume here:

https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/troubleshooting-suspendhibernate

I recommend you experiment with them as it suggests.
