Error when logging in

On just one of my many machines that I've upgraded to Trisquel 7 I'm getting an error message when I log in. I only get it if I use KDE or gnome-shell. It is a popup that comes up before gnome-shell even loads and it says:
System Program Problem Detected
Do you want to report the problem now?

If I click "Report Problem" nothing happens. I've tried making new user profiles and everything but it still happens. Any ideas on what is generating this error and how I can resolve it?

I get this as well, so it's probably not an isolated issue.

Looks like it's Apport that's sending the message. What actually causes it might be found in /var/crash.

I looked under /var/crash and there was a file in there called "_usr_lib_x86_64-linux-gnu_indicator-power_indicator-power-service.123.crash". Because of this I tried changing the preferences for the Power Settings in System Prefs. I changed it to "Show battery status in the menu bar - Never" from "Show battery status in the menu bar - when battery is present". After I made this change the error stopped coming up.

Thanks for the tip lembas.

You're welcome.

I wonder if Andrew has a similar file there and if he runs gnome shell or kde.

I run GNOME Fallback Mode. However, it seems that I have come across a
'Heisenbug' as it stopped as soon as I went to investigate. Oh well.
Thanks for your help anyway. :-)
