After installing Trisquel 7 I got four kernel panics for a unknown reason.

I installed a newer kernel from
http://linux-libre.fsfla.org/pub/linux-libre/freesh/ freesh/main linux-image-3.18.1-gnu amd64 3:1.0 [57,0 MB]
but this kernel is not a realtime kernel.

The old kernel is

3.13.0-40-lowlatency #69+7.0trisquel2 SMP PREEMPT Wed Nov 26 13:03:06 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

FWIW I'd try a full SMART test on the HDD using Disk Utility. It could be you've got the beginnings of a failing HDD.

You could test the RAM with memtest86+ too.

I did not get any kernel panic anymore with the new kernel, but sometimes the graphics freeze for some seconds. I still don't know how to fix this.
