Getting involved with xpad Linux driver upstream

I've been working with the Linux driver for XBox controllers known as "xpad". Although I've been able to obtain a usable source file and modify it for my own usage, I'm unsure of where to find the original upstream source code for xpad. As there are a couple of serious bugs in the driver, I'd like to work with any upstream developers to get some changes in and some bugs fixed. Can anyone here tell me where to start looking?

I'd assume someone else picked it up if it's still in the modern kernel.

EDIT: Does this help? https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/input/xpad.txt

Most information I've found on xpad seems to be quite old, and it seems to me there is development since 2002. I've come across xpad.txt several times.

I ended up searching the 'net for "CONFIG_JOYSTICK_XPAD_LEDS" which gave me some leads. It lead me to gossamer-threads.com where I decided to search for "xpad"(1). Someone's signature led me to tux.org/lkml(2). It shows that dev is going on, but I'm not sure where it is happening.
