What's so special about identi.ca?
I've seen a lot of Free Software and Open Source folks using it. I'm using reddit as per social networking though using Facebook too as I'm managing an event. Also, how do I get all of my photos and videos in Facebook via compressed file? Those two are the only ones really stopping me to leave Facebook forever -_-

Ah, I probably don't need to know decentralization as I believe in human individual value. ;) I've also read articles regarding decentralization, and knew about YaCy and Seeks. Though those too doesn't provide as much relevant results unlike Startpage and DDG does. I'm using DDG now and it's great. :D
