Trisquel mini comes with the lightweight email client Sylpheed.
Why? Why not Claws?
I've tested both and had to state that Sylpheed seems to have more support (forums...) in Japanese. Also, I had issues with it, emails deleting by themselves...
Claws, in turn, has add-ons. For example, gpg-encryption comes along with the normal install, you just need to activate it.
Claws claims that it has "many extra features compared to Sylpheed and is more powerful, yet is just as fast, lightweight and stable":

So why Sylpheed?

I use sylpheed and never had any problem with it. Sylpheed is compiled with GPG support.

To use gpg go to 'current account preferences' -> 'privacy' (I don't know the exact English words for this, as I use another locale).
