Description
- Description: Package ax25-apps contains a non-free file as described by the LibrePlanet wiki page: List of software that does not respect the Free System Distribution Guidelines
- Steps to reproduce:
- Go to source page for package ax25-apps
- Download source package
- Unpackage source code
- View file in /ax25-apps-0.0.6/listen/ripdump.c
Comment at the top of the file states: /* RIP packet tracing * Copyright 1991 Phil Karn, KA9Q * * Changes Copyright (c) 1993 Jeff White - N0POY, All Rights Reserved. * Permission granted for non-commercial copying and use, provided * this notice is retained. * * Rehack for RIP-2 (RFC1388) by N0POY 4/1993 * * Beta release 11/10/93 V0.91 * * 2/19/94 release V1.0 * */
- Additional Information
- Debian Bug #630893 (ax25-apps: Doesn't allow commercial use or distribution)
- File is in process of being re-licensed. See above debian bug report.

The file is now relicensed under the GPL compatible 3-clause BSD license.
Since this is not applied so far to any debian/ubuntu repository, how do we go about that?
