when I open the web browser I get just a window that says:
XML Parsing Error: undefined entity
Location: chrome://browser/content/browser.xul
Line Number 31, column 1:
What can be happen?
Thanks
Ooops, I forgot to mention that this happens on my EeePC 1001PX and that I can't make the version upgrading.
Tried starting abrowser with the -safe-mode parameter? If that works, then the problem is with an add-on.
If so, disable half of the add-ons until you find out which one is causing it,
Thank you lembas,
I surfed for search of instructions for starting abrowser with the safe-mode parameter, but I have not found anything. Can you tell me How do I start abrowser in safe mode?
'man abrowser' is your friend: :-)
-safe-mode
Start abrowser in safe-mode. This disables all third-party extensions, and may be necessary if you are having problems with an extension you installed.
Thaks Magic Banana,
I' tried to start abrowser in safe-mode, within terminal :-) but received the almost same error:
XML Parsing Error: undefined entity
Location: chrome://mozapps/content/extension/extensions.xul
Line Number 15, column 1:
window xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#"
^
Hmm... Try
sudo apt-get install --reinstall abrowser
Thanks lembas,
but even this metod give the same error message...
