Graphical installer wireless connection icons mostly hidden

When booting to the Ubiquity installer, a notification shows to tell me that wireless networks are available. Unfortunately, only 3 pixels of the top menu bar and the network icon are shown. It's possible to click the icon, but only if you already know what it is.

This icon should be fully visible, or a network connection interface available in some other way.
