Nouveau "Boost" Patches Show Much Performance Potential (Phoronix)

Apparently, those patches make Xonotic fully playable in 3840x2160 on the Ultimate preset, with Nouveau (the free NVIDIA driver) on some Kepler cards. Reclocking still needs to be done manually, but it's a start.

Those patches may be merged in Linux 4.7-4.9, maybe it'll be worth having a point release with that kernel if the performance increases are available without proprietary firmware.
