The Pidgin project needs help

They only have one developer that streams on twitch and he needs a lot of help to make pidgin 3.0 work. He saved up to develop fulltime and he only has 3 months left of funding and he needs to take a day job. What he needs more than money is contributors and he needs to find a new Mercurial host because bitbucket is discontinuing Mercurial support.
