Hi triskelions!

As most of you would already know, I've been away from the front line a
bit too much lately, and although that doesn't mean I haven't been
working on the project (I've spent quite some time on maintenance and
package updates), it hasn't been ideal. The good news is that at the FSF
my workload has normalized through this last year, and now I have
regained the time to commit myself to weekly development meetings and
other necessary work.

The first step is to re-start the meetings at the #trisquel-dev channel
of irc.freenode.org. I'll be available tomorrow morning (10am to 1pm
EST, Boston time) to discuss development plans.

The main topics that need discussing on the following weeks include:

* Trisquel 8 wrap-up and release.
* Plans for Trisquel 9.
* Development infrastructure re-vamp and upgrade.
* Front-page/community-site re-vamp and upgrade.

There are many details to discuss for each of those topics, so to not
byte more than what we can chew, tomorrow we should only focus on the
first item.

See you there!

Hello, I'm new user (actually "Day One"). I've decided to use Trisquel Because of this post. I was buy Technoethical x200 for my freedom form proprietary software (and firmware too). But as soon as I got the laptop, I've format it and install Debian Main because I thought that Trisquel wasn't actively develop anymore.
Today, I am surprising that there are signs for Releasing Trisquel 8. So, I am start using Trisquel 8 now and it was impressed me so much. It's work well and many packages are not quite out-date (only Emacs that I thinks it was so out-date for me but anyway that make me to learn to install it from source and it's also work!, wonderful!).
Thank you for everyone. You're working so hard.
I'm consider to contribute, but I'm newbies in GNU/Linux-libre world. It might be need time to read documentation. I'm consider myself an low-intermediate command line user.

Thank you, again.

The troll prayer of trisquel

Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ, for your power and miracles in faith!

At least quidam has resuscitate from the Dead Trisquel 7!

No mere countdown clocks, Questioning and negative assumption about Trisquel.
At least there is hope and there is a blink of light shinning at the end of the tunnel.

How could I help you? I got a desktop ready for testing ,running Trisquel 7.

Respectfully
Jodiendo

I am so happy! Writing this from Trisquel 8 which is running exquisitely. I cannot wait for the final release. My ThinkPenguin wireless actually works on Trisquel 8 (unlike on Debian 9). Thank you Ruben!

I would like to see if Trisquel 9 is to liberate Devuan 2 "ascii" main, or simply importing OpenRC to the system from Devuan codebase.

Trisquel 9 will be based on the as-yet-unreleased Ubuntu 18.04 LTS "Bionic Beaver". Including systemd.
