How can I configure Trisquel to save my local time in the BIOS, rather than UTC time?

I'm running a dual-boot setup, with Windows and Trisquel Mini 8.0.

I've found that both operating systems represent and store time in the BIOS in two different ways. Windows saves my local time in the BIOS, while Trisquel seems to always save UTC time into the BIOS and convert the display of the time to match my local time.

This leads to issues, as when I boot into Windows after having used Trisquel, it's set to the wrong time, and I have to reset it every time I start Windows after using Trisquel (as Trisquel automatically converts it into UTC time when it starts up).

How can I configure Trisquel to save local time into the BIOS, rather than UTC time?

I could set the time zone in Trisquel to UTC, but this means that I'll have to manually set the time and I cannot synchronize to Internet time servers.

You can edit the file /etc/adjtime to make Debian-based distributions treating hardware time as local time by replacing "UTC" with "LOCAL". But it's way better to make Losedows treating hardware time as UTC by editing the registry.
