Hi guys i'm looking for some help with libreboot installation, i have a raspberry pi, and i have a thinkpad x200 waiting for the installation.
My chip model is a WINDSOND 25Y64VFIG, with this chip can i follow the instructions on the libreboot page? or i have to use a different pinout?
These are the instructions for the X200 on the libreboot site https://libreboot.org/docs/install/rpi_setup.html#raspberry-pi-thinkpad-x200.
In the guide they use a MX25L6405D 16 pin chip, my chip is also 16 pin.
Can i follow these instructions safely or not?
I'm not a guru in electronics but i want to try to flash libreboot my self.

i made an error, the chip name is winbond not windsond, is similar to this chip https://tse1.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.Uh_VnBnNXb2UJYmqGAJT3QHaHa&pid=15.1&P=0&w=300&h=300 the only difference is that my chip has 16 pin not 8 and that instead of the number 1215 my chip has 0919

Hi s1lv3r,

Sorry for the so late reply, I guess the one would give you the best answer is the minifree team name at domain, I guess they may have the answer, I really don't see the issue with the chip, but ask to make sure.

The pinout is the same, you can safely proceed. Raspberry Pi actually has enough power to flash the chip on it's own, without an external power supply. Also, clean the chip's legs with a bit of alcohol and a clean brush before flashing. Sometime debris and dirt interfere with the clip seating or the electrical contacts.
