Trisquel 7 - Initial questions & comments.

Hi everyone! I've installed Trisquel 7 and it seems to work great :) I have a few initial questions & comments as I am not very knowledgeable and would really appreciate some help:
1) What version of Ubuntu is Trisquel 7 based on?
2) I use a custom configuration for my keyboard located in a file named .Xmodmap in ~/. For some reason the keys are not being remapped. Is there something special I have to do for this to work?
3) I'd like to migrate all settings from abrowser to icecat. Is there a simple way to do this (browsing history would also be welcome).
4) Most of the times, when I click on the trisquel menu (trisquel logo on the task bar) it automatically clicks into "power off" or "logout." I have the trackpad set for click (as opposed to just pressing on it). Is this a bug and is there a way to stop this behavior?
5) I'd like to install Linux-Libre Kernel from jxself. Do I follow the same procedure as for Trisquel 6? i.e. https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/update-linux-libre-kernel
6) I was trying to run a bash script that required administrator priviledges and got the following message:
~$ no talloc stackframe at ../source3/param/loadparm.c:4864, leaking memory
Is this something to worry about?

Hi! To hopefully answer some of your questions:

It is based on 14.04, which is currently the latest release of Ubuntu
released in April.

I'm not 100% where the IceCat profiles are stored. However, if you go
into Nautilus and show hidden files by pressing CTRL+H, you should be
able to do it like this:
1. Close IceCat and Abrowser.
2. Go to your home folder > .mozilla > firefox.
3. Go into the directory of your profile (e.g. qwthl413.default).
4. Copy everything (CTRL+A to select all).
5. Find the IceCat profile directory (I imagine it would be Home >
.icecat or Home > .mozilla > IceCat).
6. Go into the directory of the IceCat profile (e.g. 0fj5bczm.default)
and delete everything.
7. Paste.
I would recommend backing up the profile directories before deleting
anything, just in case something doesn't work. Just right-click the
directory, choose "Compress" and click Create to make a backup.
Then press CTRL+H to hide hidden files again.

Yes it is the same.

The IceCat profile dir is ~/.mozilla/icecat
For Xmodmap, you have to execute "xmodmap ~/.Xmodmap" at login. You can configure it to auto-run at startup. On Triskel, it does it automatically because there's a file called /etc/X11/Xsession.d/80kubuntu-xmodmap which runs xmodmap.
The message when you run sudo is nothing to worry about, it's a known bug from Ubuntu.

No, it's not. If you want to get rid of the message, you can remove libpam-smbpass, but it's not a big deal.
1. Trusty/14.04 (By the way, Trisquel 6 was based mon Precise/12.04)
2. Admittedly I'm not sure.
3. Move ~/.mozilla/abrowser to ~/.mozilla/icecat
4. I don't know, sorry (all is well in GNOME Shell, though)!
5. Yes, for anything from Trisquel 4.0 (Ubuntu Lucid) onwards.

2) Re: .Xmodmap:
a) x11-server-utils was not installed with the Trisquel installation. I assumed it was installed together with the OS, so this was the first problem. I installed it.
b) For some reason, my Trisquel install does not run .Xmodmap automatically.
b) I tried to add xmodmap ~/.Xmodmap to the "startup applications" but I couldn't get it to work. In the end, I made a small bash script to run the command and then ran the script in "startup applications." Seems like a longwinded way to get it to work, but it works now :) Thank you for the help!

4) This issue is still going on. It doesn't happen every time I click, but very often. I've resorted to clicking and not letting go while I select whatever I want to run from the bar. Quite annoying so I will keep looking for a solution.
5) Something is not right. I added the repository & the key & updated. Still, when I try to install I get: E: Unable to locate package linux-libre64. I will try to figure this out this weekend.

*7)* One final problem I'm having is the keyboard indicator is not showing on the task bar. Usually the indicator appears automatically when more than one keyboard is added, but this seems not to be the case in Trisquel 7. indicator-keyboard is installed. Has anyone else faced this problem?
