Topic says it all - after doing software upgrade the computer reboots/restarts with a password(?) panel but I'm unable to enter anything and need to reboot computer so I get the unencrypt disk prompt - then everything runs as it should with a new login prompt. Anyone have a solution for this or is it an anomoly restricted to my computer and the set up of Trisquel 8?

I have this same problem on one specific computer lately ... an HP P2-1334 which is an AMD-based system with an AMD Fusion E1-1200 processor and Radeon HD 7310 onboard graphics. I boot it up, get the ecryption GUI password panel but cannot enter anything So I have to ctrl+alt+del to restart it, see the Grub menu appear and vanish and get to an ecryption black screen prompt instead to enter the sd5 password.

The only other PC I've had this issue on was also an AMD-based system. I no longer have it and forget the model but it had an Athlon XP processor and some form of Radeon onboard graphics. Same exact procedure.

None of my 7 other systems (all Intel processors and graphics) ever had this issue.

Thanks Fenderbassist - gives me something to look at... apologies for late reply - been traveling and no internet for the last two weeks.
