Gnome-keyring-daemon not responding

After using Cpanel and wine (to read a PSI-Plot .pdw file) I notice that surfing the 'net with ABroswer becomes next to impossibly slow; when I try to shut down, a popup appears to the effect that "gnome-keyring-daemon not responding". I am then faced with a frozen shutdown screen, and I have to stop the computer manually. This appears to be an ancient bug affecting few people.

I haven't lost any work over this ... yet.
