Graphical glitches in 3d games

less powerful GPUs will get better performance in 3d games that most powerful GPUs(running free drivers).
But...I was referring to the other Nvidia cards you wrote about (I assume also running Nouveau) rather than the Intel ones....
My benchmarks:
Adjunto | Tamaño |
---|---|
GNU test.tar | 21 KB |
I don't know if I have asked it before or not but...
in terms of free/libre what is better for gaming:
1. nvidia running nouveau drivers (please specify which models work best)
2. intel integrated hd
Thanks, just curious.
See my benchmarks "GNU Test2". Can help.
Intel HD(not GMA) will run better or much better, something like HD4000. But capped at 60hz. I only tested HD4000 (2 of them from i5 and i7), so you can play every game(free software) with nice FPS at 1920x1080, including Xonotic.
Can't do benchmark to HD4000 right now, I damaged my i5-3570k.
Some Nvidia cards run very bad. Updated drivers can improve performance.
Intel will bring you better performance and less power usage/heat, definitely, until Nouveau gets reliable reclocking that can fully exploit the graphics card. (It is starting to happen on Kepler series video cards.)
But not all Intel's GPUs.
Intel != performance.
You can say that Intel GPU will work fine with 3d games, but GMA and HD are not the same things.
Kepler are gtx6xx and gtx7xx series right? how do you know that these card will work fine?
If I had to bet I'd bet on the best performance being from Broadwell-C Integrated graphics.
It seems to affect doom the worst. The other 3d games are not affected as bad BTW
