It sounds to me this is about Stallman, with his refusal of the singular they as a gender neutral pronoun as one motivating factor.
I post this not to have a drama thread (if it is about Stallman it's not very important whether them not liking Stallman is for good reasons or not, people dislike other people all the time) but a discussion on this potential micro-event in free software (the libreboot developer having a falling out with the, useful or not, leader of the FSF/GNU project).
If the cult's not software related than it's not relevant at all to us, but while I'm ignorant of Leah's life to know of all the possible candidates it seems fairly obvious to me to be about Stallman.
If it is about Stallman Leah still seems supportive of the FSF, which is curious to me but not a contradiction.
"He is a man who will lie to your face" kind of discards RMS actually, I believe. Also, RMS has not been "exposed and challenged, but by an even bigger, more disgusting slob, with an even bigger cult following".
Leah Rowe defends RMS. I don't think she has changed her mind in a few months.

You can try throwing a random url to see if it's a generic 404 redirect she set up, it is not. You will note the redirect article links to the cult article, which is why I originally posted that I speculated it had something to do with Stallman's refusal of the singular they in favor of perse.

I am glad she is free from whatever cult she was in and from the drugs too.
I recall a while back she mentioned something to this effect...
Either way, my opinion of her hasn't changed too much, she just is a person who has made some mistakes, which I can relate to, easily...
Let's just say, here, devuan, palemoon... which I will never return to, due to their new stances, I acted like a a nut in those and many other places...
I won't say I was in a cult, but I was filled with pride...
My point being, always check yourself to make sure you haven't become arrogant, whether you believe in a creator or not.
Otherwise, you will become the type of person who people hate.
I honestly wish someone would have called me out for this 10+ years ago and clearly explained to me what that meant.
Oh well though, I guess I just need to do this to my past self...

Small edit though, I will return to those sites mentioned, but not palemoon as I don't trust them, just to clarify.

What new thing did Devuan do wrong recently? I missed that discussion. I've been on Void, Trisquel, and Hyperbola for awhile (and trying out Guix), haven't hardly logged into my Devuan partition for the past couple of months.

I meant that about palemoon solely...
As for void, never was on their forums... side note, due to their non-free firmware problems, I only had interest when libressl was offered...
Guess what they aren't offering anymore...
So there's really no point for me to use void even.
I should also add, I made mistakes on all those platforms that were, rather bad...
I guess I got mixed up on what I meant across the board...
The difference being, palemoon as I said... they also made some grievous mistakes that make me look innocent.
Anywho, long story short,
I had pride issues with all of those, meaning I got really pissed and flamed way beyond reasonablity... many times...
on palemoon, I got my account deleted out of fury...
but Palemoon forums I am NEVER returning to ever again...
Unless I feel the need to get banned and spew on them, which would be a waste of time and I don't intend to do so.
Not because I was angry with them banning me, but because they basically went closed source with their development...
I can't trust them whatsoever...

My point of some of this was to say, I can relate to getting messed up for a while, both now and in the past even more so.
I hope she continues to get better with wisdom.

Ahh. Void doesn't have a forum, just a reddit page. I use it on a work computer where I am going for a high-powered yet minimal setup. I've removed non-free software (there's very little with void - just a few pieces of firmware) and I build Linux-libre for it. My memory usage is only 157mb at startup, and yet it is a more capable system than Devuan, which uses about 3 times the memory.
Void does still have libressl in the repos. However, they switched back to openssl by default this past February. They said that the patching of programs to work with libressl was so complex that they could no longer be sure that they weren't creating new security issues. After Alpine and Gentoo stopped supporting libressl, Void was left holding the bag and didn't want to be the ones opening a big security hole by mistake with their patching.

Just to be clear, because I get the feeling that some may believe otherwise:
I'm not fighting GNU, FSF or RMS. I believe that it would be counter-productive to do so, and only divide us. Some here have referred to past actions of mine against these entities, which I still deeply regret to this day.
I'm an avid supporter of the free software movement, and I maintain several free software projects myself. I'm in this for the long term.
I encourage everyone to get involved and write new free software, fix existing software and help people achieve freedom in their computing.
I am just glad you aren't knee deep continuing to make the same mistakes you made in the past.
As long as you are honest and humble with what you have learned, I am sure your project will be bigger then before.
It may take time, but it sounds like you have changed, so time is the only thing standing in your way before this happens.
Anywho, wasn't judging before, just mentioning, because of the thread topic, etc...
