A tad off-topic but I've been trying to get Popcorn time to work. IT works OK when used for the 1st time. But the 2nd time and so on I couldn't get past: (see picture)

it worked great for me but i removed it as there are no instructions for how to compile it from source on gnu/linux
and i dont want to run a program like this without knowing exectly whats its doing espechially as its not in the trisquel repo's

also when i tried to compile it it claimed it was missing the qt libary

if anyone can get this program compiled from source please tell me!

What are you talking about? README.md clearly says that you can just use make_popcorn.sh, and it lists out all the commands that script would use. It's a bit unusual, but certainly not undocumented.

Or did you ignore my post where I recommended the fork at popcorntime.io, when you were trying to use the unrelated fork at popcorntime.se (which doesn't even seem to have recent binaries build for GNU/Linux)?

Apparently the fork at popcorntime.se used to be called Time4Popcorn is unsafe because it uses an iframe with code that gets downloaded every time you run it (which they can always change).
popcorntime.io is the official version.

Neither are official; the official version was shut down (it was at getpopcornti.me). Both are forks. But indeed, the fork at popcorntime.io seems to be the best one.

i used http://popcorntime.se/
which btw now looks like its been shut down

do you know how to download the files at:
https://git.popcorntime.io/stash/projects/PT#

do you have to use a git command?

Inspect the element at the top-right which says "stash" on it. Just above it, you'll see an element with the class "aui-sidebar-body". Select that, and then under rules (to the right), disable "overflow-y: auto". That will make a menu show up. If you're inside a repository, one button in this menu will say "clone"; right-click, "Copy Link Location". This is the Git URL you can use to clone with.

For example, to clone the Popcorn Time app, the Git URL is https://git.popcorntime.io/stash/scm/pt/popcorn-app.git. So you can clone it with:

git clone https://git.popcorntime.io/stash/scm/pt/popcorn-app.git

why, that's odd David!
try removing these folders:

/home/.pki
/home/config/Popcorn-Time

and then restart it..

Also, there has been a problem with covers missing as of the beginning of this month..

this is the temporary fix, untill they patch it with the next release:

cheers!
