Trisquel 7 window resize lag

There's an initial lag when I grab the edge of a window and try to resize it byt dragging. The mouse cursor goes ahead and the window follows later. On a second attemt it resizes immediately. I'm on Gnome Fallback.

What is your video card? 'lspci' in a terminal would tell.

Maybe you can try the following solution, I also had this problem and changing from Metacity to Compiz solved it:
