First of all, I don't endorse any official or unofficial spin of Ubuntu, because Ubuntu did few good and lots of harm to free software movement.

But there is such project, and I did give it a try. The problem is that since Unity/Lomiri is far from being adopted by Debian, such spins will remain unofficial for a long time. Additionally, since there have been many (now living or dead) forks or continuations of Unity, including Yunit, Unity 8, Ubuntu Touch (now known as Lomiri), etc., the Unity/Lomiri desktop environment is a terrible mess.

I installed a copy of partially purified Ubuntu Unity, but couldn't tell whether it was based on Unity 7, 8, or Lomiri, maybe a mixture of them. Ultimately, I did enjoy the desktop environment. I installed gnome-tweaks alongside unity-tweak-tool, and was able to better customize my desktop.
