Where could one publish a software freedom story

I managed to pass 2 semesters while avoiding nonfree js (MS Teams, Webex, etc.). It was a big struggle and I had to exchange loads of emails with professors but finally prevailed and I'm about to graduate.
RMS wants me to publish this as a story. I already have someone to help me with editing, but I have to look for some organizations other than GNU or maybe for some magazines to publish the story there, so it reaches more ppl.
Any ideas?
The Register (theregister.co.uk) is pretty good about listening to story ideas. I've been in email contact with their editors before, and they did at least one of my story ideas. The editors are easy to contact with emails listed on their contacts page: https://www.theregister.com/about/company/contact/
The page does say "If you want to ... pitch a story ... here's a handy list of our writers and editors, what they cover, and their email addresses for non-encrypted email". So, they are looking for people to pitch stories to them.
The editor I had the most contact with is Iain Thomson, US News Editor. You should contact the editors who would be most relevant to your story. For example, if your experience had any relationship to the UK, you could contact their UK editors, or if it was in Asia you could contact their Asia/Pacific editor.
The magazine itself is primarily geared toward general technology, and gives a lot of glowing coverage to proprietary software. But it also gives more space than most tech magazines to covering items from the GNU/Linux world of libre software. The readership is fairly large and seems relatively aware of GNU/Linux concepts. Judging from the comments section, a lot of the readers are sys admins or are otherwise dealing with some type of GNU/Linux distro at work.
Another one is Linux Magazine, which has a "Write for Us" page, on which they say "We are always looking for new articles and new authors. If you feel that a subject is important or needs better explanation then we probably do as well. They leave an email address on that page, and submission formatting instructions. They have done many libre software focused articles, of course. For example, last May they did a review of 5 of the FSF approved distros, giving Trisquel top billing.

If the story itself doesn't go there then it should have a link to wherever the story is.
Thanks for the suggestions so far. I am sometimes unsure whether given site publishes stories of this kind, but I will surely try emailing those You mentioned
