The screen to configure Sync (about:accounts) shows the Firefox logo after pressing the blue Start button. In addition, it encourages the user to create a Firefox Sync account: I am not sure that Trisquel or GNU encourage creating and using such an account.
In addition, it would be nice to have an easy way to setup an account from another server, but that's out of the scope of this particular issue.
The logo isn't in browser chrome, it's loading the web page https://accounts.firefox.com/signup?service=sync&context=fx_desktop_v1
Further, it is creating an account with the cloud service "Firefox Sync"; I believe that it is appropriate to leave it as "Firefox" in this case (and probably all of about:accounts as well).
However, I agree that I'm not sure GNU or Trisquel (or Parabola) should be encouraging creating an account there. I'm interested in setting up a server for Parabola users; would you be interested in sharing resources on that? Even better would be providing an easy way for users to run their own servers, but that's more work.
