On two different computers, one updated from 3.0, the other from 3.5-RC into 3.5, the graphical interface "Users and groups" apparently lets you change your password (it notifies "password has been changed" or similar). However the password remains the old one. Closing session or rebooting does no solve the problem.
UPDATE: this is not a Trisquel problem, same failure is found in Ubuntu 9.10. Changing password through the "passwd" line command works in Trisquel.
Regards.
Marking as patch ready in version 4.0. I have tried in a virtual machine on 3.5 and also experience the bug. Then in a 4.0 virtual machine the issues appears to be fixed. It also is fixed on my 5.0 live system. Users should upgrade if they are still using 3.5 as it is no longer supported.
Marking as fixed by upstream.
