Purge multiverse repo (upstream)

I'm wondering if at some point, any point, would the Trisquel project or community start an effort to purge the multiverse repo from upstream?

There are lots of free software at multiverse, free software that the Ubuntu people consider restricted for patents or some other issues, regarding the liberty of it, even GPLv3 software.

Would we start that process as the gNewSense team did with Main(repo)?
Is it on the roadmap?

I am marking this as "won't fix". This is simply because of the manpower required to do so. It would require individual scrutiny of each package. This is because that repo is where ubuntu places [https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Ubuntu programs that it considers non-free]. That means if we were to start filtering it would have to check the copyright file for each program. That is a time consuming process and would require a lot of time and effort.

Maybe in the future but with the current man-power we have this will have to be "won't fix".
