Bringing Peace to the Galaxy - Using Libre Software Only

Some recents threads have convinced me about the possibility of a new dawn at hand.

I will henceforward call for the development of GULS (GNU Ultimate Laser Sabers) in order to supplement the actively maintained GFF (Gtk Free Force) and bring this galaxy back to the peaceful dwellings it once was from the chaotic mess it has become for various reasons, without being coerced into surrendering our fundamental freedom to tweak the Force before using it.

I am fully aware of the dangers pertaining to the dark side of the Free Force, having myself sometimes diverted prohibited dry stuff from Tatooine using the Jezilla hand gesturing app suite, but fighting the good fight against the evil empire will obviously be much easier if everyone can check the code of the inner working of their daily weapons before using them to cut the throat of the occasional clone.

Droid firmware having historically been predominantly open-source, the most lethal ones have been successfully turned into kitchen appliances and lawn mowers.

Maybe if enough people stage a flash hologram mob in front of the main entrance of WeAreHyperdrive Inc. they will accept to GPL their most affordable models before they become Jawa scrap material.

May the Free Force...

(Please KFreeForce and XFFE afficionados, no FF environment bickering in this thread)

Gtk is the dark side, under the control of the red hat wearing Sith army. Fluxbox free force (FFF) is the only reliably loyal resistance force. All three of them. Unfortunately, most of the FFF was slain, as their GHALS (GNU Hurd Alternate Light Sabers) experienced a bad kernel panic right in the middle of the fight against the combined Sith force from Google, Microsoft and Apple.

This is a perfect illustration of the non-binary relationship between free software, open-source software and the Force.

Balance is a slippery concept.

Once again, you are nailing it:

1. he is obviously the one who inspired me to create this thread here, though his tricks made me forgot it until your post cleared the fog. Highly gifted in the Force he remains. They said something about weaker minds in the JHGAS manual but I forgot.

2. what does bringing peace actually mean? Some people want to use the Free Force to buy shares of the companies you mentioned, I might be tempted to use it in order to restore the Hutt Governorate and resurrect the Auld Alliance with the Gungans. Down with the human slaves, wookies and other bony creatures who deserve to stay put and serve us as long as we exploit them using the Free Force exclusively. In peace and harmony.

What about GNUFF - a GNUstep-based Free Force?

I am now reading about objective-C, as suggested by the voice whispering about tranquility and absolute power.

Our motto - GNUFF is enough.

Also, a GPLed version of Pod Racing Renegade would be cool.

(and I would like to acknowledge the typo in the OP: recent threads)

During these intermittent intergalactic skirmishes and slaughters going on in the outer rim I hope everyone is staying safe, especially during sandstorms and sand worm rushes.

In case of hailstorm, do not forget to shut your skylights.

After a long internal debate, we have chosen to amend the title of this thread to the following:

"Annihilating the Neighbor's Galaxy - Using Free Software Only"

This might prove useful: http://openrocket.sourceforge.net/

What about those open-sourced blueprints from that obscure and ill-fated Death Star project? Has there been some GPLed implementation yet?

I'm curious, has any of you guys ever managed to obliterate a star without JS? Or at least a small-scale model with an ant on it?

Openrocket is not launching...

But we will manage: http://www.canadianrocketry.org/Gallery/825_59.jpg
