Can't get Thinkpenguin USB Wireless N Adapter to work

Hi All,

I bought a free software friendly wireless N adapter from Thinkpenguin to run on my shiny new Trisquel Desktop (Trisquel 6). I followed the instructions as best as I can on the following page to update the firmware:

https://www.thinkpenguin.com/gnu-linux/penguin-wireless-n-usb-adapter-gnu-linux-tpe-n150usb-tpe-n150usbl-tpe-nusbdb

I rebooted and changed usb ports several times, no dice.

The only thing that is different in the way I did it was that I did not update the system first. I kind of need wireless to do that since my router is behind my bed in a completely different room from the desk my pc sits on. I simply downloaded the files to a usb drive on my laptop and shuffled them over.

Is there an easier way than ripping apart half my house on the off chance updating will make this work to get it up and running?

I don't own it, but many people have said that recently.

You had better contact Chris (ThinkPenguin's CEO and Trisquel user).

It would be better to contact Chris through Think Penguin's website.

Thanks to both of you, I ended up just taking a extra long cable from work over the long weekend. Once I updated it worked perfectly.
