How To Create/Add Shortcut Key for Special Characters

I want to add shortcut key(s) for some special characters and want to use in LibreOffice (Writer). Ho do I do that?
Example of adding special characters in LibreOffice Writer is:
I know that I can Insert characters by Unicode key : Ctrl+Shift+U+[unicode] But I want to specify personal shortcut key for some characters individually, Is it possible? Then How can I?

If there aren't too many you need adding, xmodmap[1] should be able to add the special characters to your keyboard layout and make them accessable with AltGr.
