I have an amd r7 250 and i have problem with low resolution !
From what i see it loads the ati driver and also i can't change resolution !
From what i know radeon is opensource enough so what is the problem ?
I've tested an nvidia graphics card 192 bit same low resolution ......

It requires non-free proprietary firmware which obviously isn't and won't be included in Trisquel. Try installing the latest linux kernel from jxself, it might solve the resolution but you still won't get acceleration and your GPU will still be a slow and hot hot hot furnace. In the future buy hardware (GPU and wifi adapter are the two you need to check) that works without proprietary firmware.
