Icons on the bottom panel -- remove?

Hey all,
I've ended up placing app icons on the very bottom of my screen (one on
purpose and one accidentally) but I can't figure out how to remove
them... when I right-click I get Launch and Properties, with no option
to delete/remove...
Any thoughts? Thanks.

Welcome!
Hold down the ALT key and right-click on the icon. a tiny menu will pop up
where you can choose to move or delete the icon. Many people, myself
included, have found this design unnecessarily confusing.
Definietly agree. It took me a while to get used to the wierdness of the Panel.
