Change your repositories from Belenos to Flidas, and you'll be able to do such.

To be honest that's the method I used. The only bug I've found is reported here: https://trisquel.info/en/forum/testing-trisquel-8-upgrade-process
Been using Flidas since than.

You can also run update-manager -d, which allows you to upgrade to prerelease versions
