Mate Panel Applets and Layouts?

Hi!
I'm running the Mate desktop in Trisquel 7, and notice a couple of things: 1) the network manager applet seems to be missing. Since I connect to my home wifi connection automatically, the connection works, but I do not see a way to select networks, from a panel applet, nor can I see the connection status. There is no option, on Add To Panel, for the network manager applet.
2) Mate Tweak Tool shows only 1 possible layout. Where can I get additional ones, such as the traditional Trisquel layout? It's easier to use a single-panel Mate layout with orca.
Thanks,
Dave

I have the same problem with NetworkManager in XFCE.
network-manager-applet is even visible as list entry in the options of
the notification area, see screenshot:

vinz.
Does this help? https://trisquel.info/en/forum/i-just-installed-xfce-and-i-love-it-im-missing-my-wifinetwork-applet

And that's not even true. Here's the download link: http://hub.vinzv.de/owncloud/index.php/s/JKsQETDRZbq8W8D/download
An example of a permanent solution on this kind of issues:
1) Install Stylish: https://trisquel.info/es/browser/addons/stylish
2) Install this CSS rule on your new add-on (just copy and paste):
@-moz-document domain("vinzv.de") { div#nojavascript {display: none;} }
3) Goodbye to "You shall not pass without JS" in hub.vinzv.de/owncloud

:) Thanks!
I use the Aardvark extension to get rid of such nag screens on random pages I'm unlikely to visit often.

Yes, in way and with some additional steps:
"killall indicator-application-service" made the icon (and the
one of Quassel too, btw) visible. But after re-login it was gone and I
had to kill indicator-application-service again. Downside of that was
that I had to reconnect to the wifi manually.
So I simply uninstalled indicator-service and everything's fine!
Thanks for pointing out!
No, but thanks for suggestions. I have no indicator-application-service installed. In distros with Mate as the only installed de, the network manager panel applet is accessible.
