I don't really get this stance here.
Lately, tomlukeywood wanted to somehow make his family use replicant phones instead of some proprietary ones (if i remember correctly), though they don't value freedom.
The most respected answer was that he shouldn't try to "trick" them into using free software if they don't value freedom, because that's no good anyway on the long run;
like: let them harm themselves if they don't get it.

Now i read that one shouldn't recommend debian because users might not be conscious about the issue with proprietary software and end up running it;
i'm refering to the gnu website.
Somehow a contradiction.

I agree. Getting help installing non-free software via their forums is one thing, and is unfortunate, but Debian is about as easy to make non-free as Trisquel is.

At this point, I think the reason for non-endoresement from the FSF is soely because they mirror non-free software, and provide information about it through their website and forums. The OS itself is as clean as Trisquel.

They don't "mirror" them, they make, maintain, distribute and suggest those proprietary software packages to people. They suggest them using Debian repositories, installation software, system tools, forums, docs, wikis, mailing lists and others. Those packages are Debian, just like all other Debian packages.

The OS isn't clean as Trisquel, even disregarding the Debian non-free packages, since they don't care to fix issues such as Firefox recommending non-software. You can't even see, if an addon is free or proprietary in Firefox without doing your own research.

tomlukeywood wanted to convince his parents to use a mostly libre system on their phones, even though they didn't care and wanted iPhones, by essentially bribing them with proprietary add-ons. This is different from just recommending use of Replicant.

This made me a little paranoid about SystemD
https://ma.ttias.be/whats-new-systemd-2015-edition/
Specifically
"auditing: implemented for when your application needs to be NSA approved (that appeared to be the main reason, Lennart himself said he's not a big fan of it). Can log all system calls made to /etc/passwd etc to the audit log. Auditing is integrated with journald, audit-tools to read the logs have been improved."

What's there to be paranoid about? I don't know for sure, but it sounds to me like a feature to enable a user to track what's going on in his own computer, like maybe the NSA has some sort of requirement to make passwords centrally known by someone. Might be a stupid design (or might not, since I'm just some know-nothing speculating here), but it's not like you're going to set up your own system like that.
