Which free software scanner would you say? A4. Also able to make color copies. Used one is fine. Thank you.

I have a Canon CanoScan LIDE 60; I bought it in 2004 or 2005. Up until a year or so ago it would only scan the full flatbed (on GNU). More recently, the Simple Scan page-size settings work correctly.

The LIDE 60 is a flat bed scanner. It does one page at a time. If you have a lot to scan at once, consider a scanner that has an automatic document feeder.

Choose an HP all-in-one model and follow Chris' instructions to check whether Trisquel will perfectly support it: https://trisquel.info/fr/forum/hp-laserjet-printer-p1005-printer-not-working-trisquel-60#comment-77026

If not, choose another one.

You can support ThinkPenguin (Chris is its CEO) and Trisquel (by using the following link, 25% of the benefits on your purchase are donated to the project), by buying from http://libre.thinkpenguin.com (all the hardware that is proposed works with Trisquel: no need to check anything).

What about the lide 90? It has to be a scanner only.

Hi, I have Canon CanoScan LiDE 25, this one is free-software friendly, doesn't need blobs. It is a USB only powered, no need extra power. 3 front buttons don't work, but you don't need them.
