Hello everybody,

Does anyone know why the programs to install Replicant have disappeared from the Trisquel repository?

Tools installation > >> https://redmine.replicant.us/projects/replicant/wiki/ToolsInstallation

This page explains how to install the various tools used with Replicant. It is assumed that you are running a GNU/Linux operating system....

Debian and Ubuntu

sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot heimdall-flash

android-tools-adb ? android-tools-fastboot ? heimdall-flash?

Or do they have another name?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

What makes you think they have?

Lanun thank you so much for your option. If you remember, these programs used to be in the Trisquel repositories, I can't understand why they are not there now. For example Heimdall can be downloaded here > > https://glassechidna.com.au/heimdall/, you do not need to complicate the process and install Guix (your recommendation before you changed your post )

Hopefully these important programs will return to the Trisquel repositories

apt search heimdall-flash ??

apt-cache search heimdall-flash
heimdall-flash - tool for flashing firmware on Samsung Galaxy S devices

> you do not need to complicate the process and install Guix

That remains to be seen. The version available for heimdall in Etiona is 1.4.1, the Guix package says 1.4.2. Installing Guix in Trisquel is not a massive complication if you need a higher version to be able to proceed, compared to dependency hell and/or compiling yourself.
