Unable to lock screen

New to the forum and Trisquel. I've been using Ubuntu since it came out but I'm trying to go "free." Just installed Trisquel Mini last night and it's working great except that I can't get the screen to lock. If I select Logout from the Menu and then click Lock Screen, the Logout modal goes away I am right back to the screen that I was just on. Any ideas?

The "Switch User" option does essentially what I would expect from lock screen: take you to the log in page without logging you out. Is that what the actual behavior of the Lock Screen option is supposed to be? Maybe I could figure out how to map the keys to that functionality? How might I go about finding out which commands to run?
