Hello guys,

I wanted to view the following PDF file by using Abrowser: http://www2.imm.dtu.dk/pubdb/views/edoc_download.php/6445/pdf/imm6445.pdf

Unfortunately, I only have the option to view this file with VLC instead of evince and the checkbox "Do this automatically for files like this from now on." is only shown grayed. Any ideas?

Right-click on the file in the file manager, go to the "Open With" tab, and click on the button labeled "Reset". That will reset the association of .pdf files to its default state. I don't have the problem you describe, so I think this should fix it.

I'm using XFCE and I don't have a reset button in that menu.

Right click - open with other application - make sure "use as default" is checked and click on evince or whatever. Now all your pdfs will open with that app you chose.

They do but not if I try to open them from within aBrowser. However, this is only true for some PDFs. A very strange issue.

cheers :)

It's a web server configuration issue. Look at the response, the content-type header for both a working and a non-working link. You can use e.g. this tool http://get-sniffer.com/
