activating ratpoison window manager

I am using Trisquel 8 and have installed the ratpoison window manager using apt. However, I don't get the option to select it at the login screen. Does anyone have advice for turning it on? Thanks.

See [1][here]. Ratpoison kinda sucks though, unless you have a fetish for typing Ctrl+t.

If you're looking for a tiling window manager, I recommend i3.
