My internet connection seems to be unstable. My ISP only registers minor disturbances in a short interval of time. Is there a way to have my computer log the stability of the connection?

You can use system-monitor: Trisquel -> System conf -> System Monitor

Thanks.

I think system monitor only records actual use, not available bandwidth. It's the connection I would like to log.

If it's possible

I think you can download a big (not huge) file, and track the download speed. If your download fails (in Abrowser happens when the connection it's unstable) then the connection isn't stable enough. Unfortunately, Abrowser does not have a verbose mode.

Also you can download something trough wget in verbose mode: wget [download URL] --verbose

If that doesn't solve the problem, I don't understood your question. I'm not a natural english speaker.
