YouTube normally works fine for me in ABrowser using the HTML5 player, with NoScript. After I updated to 43.0.4 today, it stopped working. On a hunch, I went to http://youtube.com/html5 and sure enough, the default player was turned on. I clicked on the 'request HTML5 player' button a few times, but it didn't work. Any suggestions?

I personally use the ViewTube script on top of GreaseMonkey and UnPlug for the sites that neither ViewTube nor ViewTube+ supports. It has always worked for me.

smtube works great too. Remember to disable javascript in the config file if you go that way though.

Maybe youtube all html5 Plug in for abrowser might help? I'm guessing it uses javascript but maybe I'm wrong.

It does not. There even is a package in Trisquel's repository: "xul-ext-youtube-all-html5".

Do you have http://packages.trisquel.info/belenos/gstreamer1.0-libav installed?

You may have to go in about:config as well, search for mp4 and webm and set to True. I know the mediasource and fragmented settings for webm will enable the vp9 codec for YouTube.

Check https://youtube.com/html5 to see what's available.
