Hello! For some reason, I can't paste stuff to Google Docs.

I can ctrl-V in Firefox, but not in Abrowser or IceCat. I'm pretty sure javascript is enabled. Any ideas?
(I'm sorry I use Google in combination with trisquel... :) )

Thanks,
Light

if you right click and try and paste
can you?

also you could try owncloud as a replacement for google docs:

owncloud is cloud server you run yourself
and the data is stored locally so you have controll over it

and if you want any help setting it up then feel free to ask

heres a screenshot of my owncloud server:

No, they don't let you use right click. See screencap attached.

Yeah, I need to check out OwnCloud!

Google Docs is SaaSS: https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/who-does-that-server-really-serve.html

Why not using LibreOffice?

AbiWord has a collaboration feature without the SaaSS aspect. The user still trusts AbiCollab to host the document. This trust may be analogous to emailing a LibreOffice file between collaborating friends (assuming that both parties don't run their own email). I guess that the hierarchy is this:

1. OwnCloud: software on user's server, document on user's server
2. AbiCollab: software on user's computer, document on third party server
3. Google Docs: software on third party's server, document on third party's server

https://abicollab.net/

Is it possible to self-host the AbiCollab document?
