Delete KDE Programms

I have installed KDE and I love the flavour of it.
But I don't like that I have now several programs who cover the same task. For example there is now Kmail and Evolution.
Is there a way to get rid of all the KDE software besides the desktop itself?
Well, maybe you should've installed plasma-desktop or kde-plasma-desktop instead of the entire KDE 'suite' when you were installing KDE.
Anyway, I guess you can now either reinstall the OS and install (kde-)plasma-desktop instead of the full suite, or just remove the unwanted apps (i.e. KMail) without reinstalling the OS.
I installed it with the NetInstaller... So I coulden't choose wheter I wanted everything or just the desktop.
Is there a way to install KDE after the initial setup?
Sure is. You just need to figure out what package(s) you want. Then you can use e.g. apt-get or aptitude to install them. Say after a netinstall with no graphical interface selected.
The "triskel" package provides a good base (i.e., basic applications including Abrowser and KDE applications you probably want: the Plasma desktop, the file manager, the virtual terminal, the PDF reader, etc.). You can then install your applications of choice (a text editor, a multimedia player, an email client, an office suite, an RSS client, etc.) on top of it.
Thanks Banana! Thats exactly what I was wondering when I installed Trisquel via the NetInstaller. There is "Triskel" and "Trisquel"... Hard to guess which one to choose...
There is "triskel-recommended" too if you want a whole KDE-based desktop environment (including the applications I suggested you to choose one by one).
You mean in the NetInstaller?
The NetInstaller provides you a truly minimal system. A working terminal. APT is functional too. That means, you can then 'sudo apt-get install' any package after the install. Including "triskel" and "triskel-recommend".
Okay I am running the installer now and will see if I get it.
