I want one. But I am not sure if the one works with Trisquel. There is a very cheap DVD/CD external drive, under $10. But h-node has not the list. Is not that problem? Because I just realized that perhaps every internal HDD or SSD must work with Trisquel without problems. But I just realized that HDDs are not CD/DVD drives. But some of you guys must use laptops which have internal CD/DVD drives. I do not know if you have problems with the drives. How can I choose a good external CD drive?

USB CD/DVD/BD drives use the standard USB mass storage driver. I've never seen such an optical drive that doesn't work with my blobless Debian.

Whether you should buy a recorder depends on your needs, i.e., do you need to record CD/DVD/BD discs. Typically, a DVD-RW or BD-Combo should be enough for most users. If you don't need to burn any disc, a DVD-ROM or BD-ROM is fine.

OK. That's good news, thanks. I wanna burn. Burn, burn, burn.
