hi t3g,

thanks for that link. It is really good to read.

But what is also important and what I would suggest to you all is also this:

uninstall Thunderbird
uninstall Firefox

alternativly install this:

-> Iceweasel (a real free Version of Firefox. There, the proprietary parts are left out. The normal Firefox-Addons work fine)
-> Icedove (the real free version of Thunderbird. Also here, the proprietary parts are left out. The normal Addons of thunderbird work here).

These two programms are available through ppa-repository:

ppa:dirk-computer42/c42-backport

More Information here:

So who needs Firefox?? No one!!
Who needs Thunderbird or evolution-mail?? No one!!

Trisquel has its own version of Firefox called abrowser which is completely free and uses Trisquel's own free addons service, as opposed to Mozilla's which offers non-free software. In Trisquel 7 this is being replaced with GNU IceCat.

No need to denounce Evolution! There's nothing wrong with it ethically. It's just not as easy to use as Thunderbird and its derivatives.

Don't throw away evolution too far.
Mozilla is going downhill fast and so are their products.
Maybe we'll be lucky having an alternative at hand someday.
