Files slow to load network locations, sometimes

After upgrading to Trisquel 7.0 from 6.01, I find it an improvement in most every respect in which it differs.

However, I'm experiencing a problem with files 3.10.1. That is that it sometimes loads network locations slowly. Sometimes very slowly. Sometimes so slowly, that the only way to proceed is to close the tab, or the entire window, and start over. Sometimes it explicitly fails to open a location (an error message to that effect appears).

One of the strange things about this problem is that it is intermittent, sporadic, and unpredictable.

It does happen rather frequently however, enough to be a noticeable drain on productivity. In Nautilus 3.4.2 on Trisquel 6.01, this never happened.

Attached is a screenshot demonstrating one appearance of this category of undesired behavior.

Anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas what causes it? Would a bug report be appropriate?

Hi leny2010, thanks for the reply.

Samba is already installed. If it weren't, networking with SMB networks wouldn't work at all, poorly or otherwise.

Still looking for a solution to this issue.

Thanks.
