I've just discovered this new music streaming web site called Grooveshark. I think its good, because there's no Flash or other plugins needed, just visit the web page and go. Everything works and the radio stations are handy too.
I've been using grooveshark for a while, and afaik it doesn't use Flash for
its interface anymore but does use flash for the streaming part. Last time I
tried on trisquel I got prompted to install flash because it couldn't play
without it. Looks like there are flash-based DRMs no? I'm not on Trisquel
right now but will try again tonight.

Just tried again and got:
No Adobe Flash
Grooveshark requires Adobe Flash. Download the latest version
nowto start discovering new music,
creating playlists, and sharing your
favorite songs with your friends!
How did you manage to make it work?

I got 'We had a problem loading Flash. You may have a Flash blocker installed. If so, please disable the blocker (or add an exception) and reload to start listening.'
IMO, the best place for listening to most music is YouTube.
Sorry just realised I'm on a different computer for the last week, seems like this music player does need Flash. I didn't realise that. I thought I'd checked that out, sorry, disappointed now .... :(
I suppose this thread can be deleted. ... or maybe someone could suggest an alternative?
