Hi all,
After suspending my computer, it cannot summarize the activity. Or if I let him alone after some time he will sleep. After that I can't get into the session because I can't put the password on it although I see perfectly my mouse around the screen.
So what is the correct command to restart via terminal after this happens?
Thanks in advance
Ps: I remember on KDE is KDM. Still applies here? Sudo systemctl restart kdm? Or it is sudo systemctl restart display-manager? Or there is now another command?
Sistema Operativo: Triskel 10.0.1
Versão do Plasma do KDE: 5.18.8
Versão das Plataformas do KDE: 5.68.0
Versão do Qt: 5.12.8
Versão do 'Kernel': 6.1.8-gnu
Tipo de SO: 64-bits
Processadores: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz
Memória: 15,6 GiB de RAM
After I did Sudo systemctl restart kdm doesnt work.
Next: systemctl restart display-manager ---> resulted as a black screen with mouse. So didnt worked also.
What is the rigth command terminal to do it...
Waking up a suspended system should be all there is to do to resume whatever the system was doing: it looks like your hardware is not well supported. Installing a newer kernel may solve your problem. The package "linux-image-generic-hwe-20.04" (in Trisquel's repository) will make you to run a 5.13 kernel, after a reboot. For an even newer kernel, follow the instructions on https://www.fsfla.org/ikiwiki/selibre/linux-libre/freesh
Hi Magic Banana,
Thanks for your reply. I did it before with the advice of Ark74 on Spanish forum. I installed newest version but no matter what I do the problem remains.
Well I did this morning the installation of Debian (only libre software) and it is now solved even though kernel is not "so pure" like on Trisquel. But anyway it is much better than the capitalist operative system that we all know.
Best regards Magic Banana.
